Travel on Kandy – Nuwara Eliya main road up to Ramboda Town, turn and proceed about 500 meters along the ascending footpath to reach this location.
The stream feeding the fall originates in one of the highest plains in the Central Hills. Water cascades straight down from a height of 109 meters in a dramatic setting, and flows on to join Kotmale Oya. The fall can be seen in its full glory in the rainy season.
Many rare species can be found. The surroundings are also rich in biodiversity, particularly with very rare orchids growing in this natural habitat.
