Travel from Colombo or Kandy to Peradeniya, proceed approximately 73 kms to Giniathhena, turn to Hatton Road, proceed to Diyagala Junction, continue via Norton Road to Maskeliya Road, turn right at 4th Milepost and proceed towards Koththallena to reach the road leading to this waterfall.


This is the 8th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and is surrounded by magnificent Laxapana Waterfall, Maussa Forest and the Laxapana Reservoir. 


Situated between the Maussakele and Lakshapana Reservoirs, this waterfall is special because its waters cascade in the form of fine spray, almost like dust.


This ecosystem is also a habitat for species of fish such as Lella, Tilapia and eels.
