This programme was conducted as a three day awareness programme from 23rd of August 2019 to 25th of August 2019 with the intension of empowering the rural community in Heel Oya. Apart from that, developing the quality of hospitality services and other services , finding methods to promote authentic food in Sri Lanka in the field of tourism, making people aware about creating tour iteneries, and discussing the problems faced by the participants were also aimed by the programme.
A field inspection was also conducted in this area by the officers in SLTDA and SLTHM through which the problems in the houses of this area could also be identified.
This programme was conducted with the participation of Well – versed resource persons from SLITHM for 27 families in Heel Oya village.
