Loolkandura Tourist Comfort Center was opened on 16th of March 2019 by the former Governor of the Central Province Maithree Goonerathne.
The main intension of establishing this comfort center is to provide all the necessary facilities to the foreign and local travellers who visit Loolkandura to see the first tea plant planted in Sri Lanka by James Taylor.
Through this comfort center, it is expected to provide the necessary information and sanitary facilities to the tourists.
This project was conducted by the Department of Trade, Commerce and Tourism, Central Province together with The Divisional Secretariat of Pahatha Hewaheta. The total cost for this project was 6 Million. A land piece of 15 perches for this project was given by the Estate Development Board.
